PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 

The Fleet Product Manager is to be responsible for the creation, development and delivery of products that will support and enable the development of new commercial propositions and their delivery to market.  The role will also be responsible for ensuring the constant iteration of our capabilities in the area of Commercial Vehicles to support the company  Fleet’s growth aspirations in this area.

 

The role includes defining key customer and market insights, developing proposition concepts, designing, building and launching new propositions, managing performance of our product portfolio and ensuring best-in-class experience for our customers.

 

Using their expertise and knowledge of Commercial Vehicles, the Product Manager will also work closely with sales to support clients with appropriate advice and strategies to navigate vehicle selection, cost reduction and electric transition strategies.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Own and drive commercial vehicle related products and services from inception to completion, including management and prioritisation of proposition roadmap. Ensure product delivery runs smoothly, on time and within budget and meeting commercial targets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand what customers, retailers, brands, other company departments and HQ want from new products and translate this into product requirements to be delivered
  • Support the  Fleet Sales team with expert knowledge, advice and guidance to ensure they are confident and empowered to lead on commercial vehicle topics with their customers
  • Work closely with the wider the business and Fleet teams to identify the relevant resources, skills and training required to develop and integrate products in to our proposition
  • Work closely with the wider Marketing Team to conduct detailed market analysis and customer research and insight studies to determine new markets to penetrate and develop suitable products to satisfy customer needs
  • Act as the customer voice to identify and understand what customers, retailers, brands, other  departments and HQ want from new products and translate this into workable concept and commercial proposition
  • Contribute to the definition of segment strategies and roadmap for Fleet Identifying key customer and market insights
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders including commercial, digital, operations, sales, partners and legal teams to shape, build and deliver successful go-to-market plans for new propositions.
  • Drive commercial performance of all Fleet propositions and products and support business objectives
  • Closely monitor and respond to competitive activity by identifying emerging opportunities
  • Ensure best-in-class customer experience for all new products and work on constantly tracking and improving customer journeys for all products and at all touch-points
  • Support new sales and key account opportunities with subject matter expertise, positioning  Fleet as the #1 provider for all their commercial vehicle needs
