We are seeking an experienced and strategic sales professional to lead our contract hire and salary sacrifice leasing teams.
This pivotal role will drive the growth, profitability, and operational excellence of our long-term leasing portfolio.
The successful candidate will be responsible for strategy development, client relationship management, team leadership, and compliance.
The role is a key member of the Senior Management and has responsibility for both the new business sales and customer relations functions. The ultimate target for the Management Team is to deliver year-on-year profit / cash flow growth and this role is critical to that delivery.
This role is ideal for a commercially savvy leader who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties - Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the long-term leasing strategy to achieve business growth, market share, and profitability targets.
Initially this will focus on developing the products and creating the team structures supporting them.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships with corporate clients, brokers, and salary sacrifice scheme providers.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of leasing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
Financial Performance: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the leasing sales function, ensuring cost efficiency and revenue growth.
Success will be measured (and reported) against agreed KPIs such as portfolio growth, client retention, and revenue targets. - Operational Excellence: Streamline processes for contract hire and salary sacrifice schemes, ensuring seamless delivery.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all leasing agreements and salary sacrifice schemes adhere to any regulations, including HMRC guidelines and FCA requirements.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Sustainability Focus: Promote and integrate environmentally friendly leasing options, aligning with the company’s sustainability goals. -
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align leasing strategies with overall business objectives.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in the vehicle leasing or automotive finance industry, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of contract hire, salary sacrifice schemes, and the UK automotive leasing market. Familiarity with HMRC regulations is essential. - Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate sales teams, with a track record of driving performance and achieving business targets.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and driving profitability.
- Customer Focus: Exceptional people skills with a customer-centric approach to building long-term relationships.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute innovative strategies to grow market share and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels. - Sustainability Awareness: Knowledge of electric vehicles and green mobility trends is highly desirable.
- Education: A degree in business, finance, or a related field. Relevant professional qualifications are a plus.
