Project Manager (NPD) – Consumer Goods

Role Overivew

Responsible for project managing all New Product Development and events within a specific Category Innovation area working as part of a cross functional team with accountability for ensuring NPD is delivered at the committed date with minimal financial exposure and time risk.

Primary Accountabilities

Ensure NPD and category event creation processes are planned out and tracked from conception through to execution.

Co-ordinate with other key stakeholders including Supply Chain, Logistics, Souring, Commercial and R&D throughout the process.

Manage any cross category dependancies

Ensure project problems are identified and dealt with speedily to ensure delivery of products and events.

Offer full visability of project status and risk to category team

Identify and manage contingency measures to minimise risk

Liaise with Creative, Copy Approval, Regulatory, R&D and Legal

 

Relevant Experience

Experience of Project Management

Experience of Project Planning software eg MS Project

Experience of managing multiple projects, risk evaluation technologies and cross functional structures

Key Competencies

Strong Microsoft skills - Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Problem solving disposition

Excellent interpersonal skills with persuasive and assertive approach

Good written and verbal presentation skills
