OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE

Provide pricing/profitability reporting and insight to the Commercial teams to ensure an effective long term Pricing Strategy.

Support day-to-day usage of pricing models, providing advice to Commercial/ Sales teams and producing bespoke models where required. Also, to maintain and update the pricing model on a regular basis.

Work closely with several departments in the business including Sales/ Commercial Finance/Risk.

Recommend and implement pricing strategies to enhance profitability across customer segments.

Ensure that the appropriate governance is adhered to; provide Board-level reporting to ensure that profitability is understood.

Role Specific

  • Provide advice, analysis and support to Commercial colleagues in the accurate use of  pricing models, assisting with the production of bespoke models where necessary.
  • Management of Monthly Pricing Forum for  Corporate Sales segment
  • Ensure regular reporting on pricing variables, market competitiveness and Brand pricing/profitability
  • Compile business intelligence on the use and success of customer pricing strategies to inform Commercial and Finance colleagues
  • Manage the governance of customer or portfolio pricing models, ensuring that key variables are updated, and that sign-off is completed or delegated
  • Research market and competitor pricing trends and provide regular reports to the Business
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge on leasing and ancillary products for the business and its competitors
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis in support of the wider business and Commercial Performance agenda.
  • Provide training to Sales teams and other business users around pricing strategy and profitability
  • Drive towards a ‘self-service’ data culture working with the BI, FP&A and Brand teams as appropriate.
