KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This role has the overall responsibility of two key functions.

Working and developing relationships with all manufacturers (PC & Van) for the creation of compelling Sales Campaigns and Special Offers to be marketed by DFM.

Oversee the effective management of Pricing & Tender Specialist and Account Executive Functions.

Creating Compelling Sales Campaigns and Special Offers:

Using your contacts at manufacturers and working closely with your pricing and tender specialist and Marketing Colleagues, generate Campaigns and Special Offers that will be pushed by the Field Sales team and Account Executive. Key to the success of this task includes finding the right type of product at an acceptable price point and stock availability.

Efficient tender & pricing process

Oversee the effective management of the Tender process and Pricing Approvals ensuring all guidelines are adhered to.

Oversee the sales activity and performance of the Account Executive function and all related activity.

15%

Develop & lead direct reports to high performance & service excellence ensuring all staff have the opportunity to fulfil their potential within a ‘Great Place to Work’ environment.

Accountable for the performance management of employees within defined area of responsibility, including completion of reviews within  Performance Review process.

Lead by coaching, rewarding and guiding employees towards achieving targets

Encourage and nurture strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders.  Collaborate to ensure optimal sales successes with other Sales & Marketing colleagues to ensure sharing of Best Practice and a joined-up approach for Campaigns.

KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Ideally have a general understanding of fleet finance methods including their structure and the features and benefits of each product.
  • A high level understanding of the Fleet Market Place and current trends therein.
  • Strong data handling, analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and organisational ability and be able to lead and work as part of a team.
  • High level of personal drive and pro activity.
  • Demonstrate effective influencing & communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Own issues; be energetic and resilient and take action to make things happen through to their absolute completion.
