To explore, maximise and sell all revenue opportunities in a consistent, professional and effective manner, generating new business for the business to meet agreed revenue and performance targets.
Reporting to: Head of Sales,
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Secure, close and consolidate business, meeting (as a minimum) sales targets
- Generate appointments via telephone, email and / or letter
- Develop business opportunities following enquiry or appointment
- Research and report writing on all prospects
- Secure appointments and travel or utilise online presentation software to present to prospective clients, with effective use of work time being carefully considered
- Work in conjunction with Sales, Sales Support, Marketing and Client Relations teams to create and develop sales strategies to maximise revenue from target markets
- Clearly communicate at all levels, working with all departments to identify revenue opportunities
- Professionally present services and products, acting at all times as an ambassador for the Company. This includes attending business events and conferences as required to exhibit and present
- Clean and research database with a high attention to detail using Contact Management System
- Produce comprehensive proposals and presentations and deliver to prospects in a timely manner
- Complete all relevant paperwork to the expected high standards
- Working closely with the Account Manager’s, manage opportunities for additional business through the existing customer base
- Maintain electronic diaries and activity databases
- Support all Sales, Sales Support, Marketing and Client Relations initiatives as required
- Ad hoc tasks as required by the business
Person Specification
Our client is looking for people with a passion for customers, co-workers and those living in the local community.
Motivation and Experience
- Proven success in high level and high volume service (not product) selling
- Knowledge of the UK fleet management industry is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of legislations governing fleet vehicles and their drivers, insurance and licensing preferable
Excellent written skills with the proven ability to produce client facing documents where required
